A laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure in which an elongated solid tube with a camera and light at the end is inserted through the abdominal wall to perform an exploratory procedure. Minor surgical procedures can even be performed without the trauma and expense of having to go to surgery.

Tennessee Equine Hospital is proud to offer laparoscopy as an alternative to colic surgery for certain cases and other abdominal issues. Ask your veterinarian if a laparoscopic procedure is right for your horse.
