Veterinarian
Dr. Jocelyn Stedman grew up riding hunter/jumpers in Victoria, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. She moved to the United States when she started college and obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Physiology at Cornell University in 2015. She then remained at Cornell for veterinary school, graduating in 2019.
Following graduation, Dr. Stedman completed internships at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida and Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists in Elmont, New York, before pursuing a residency in equine surgery. Dr. Stedman completed her residency at Kansas State University in 2024 and received a master’s degree focusing on MRI of the equine stifle that same year. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Large Animal) in 2025.
Following her residency, she moved to Arizona and worked as a surgeon at a private referral practice. While she enjoyed exploring the desert, she missed the rain and the seasons too much to stay, and so moved to Tennessee to join Tennessee Equine Hospital in 2026.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Stedman is passionate about emergency and soft tissue surgery but enjoys working on a variety of cases. Outside of work she enjoys running, cooking, reading, and spending time in the outdoors with her fiancé and her dog Maverick.
