Dr. Andrew Ligon

DVM

NORTH VETERINARIAN

Dr. Andy Ligon received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. After graduation, he shortly practiced mixed-animal veterinary medicine before joining the North office in March of 2019. Since then, he has served as an Associate Veterinarian focusing on all aspects of equine medicine with a
passion for dentistry, reproduction, podiatry, and surgery.

Growing up on his family’s century farm in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, has played the largest role in his passion for horses and veterinary medicine. He is the seventh-generation son of his farm where they raise sheep, hogs, cattle, laying hens, and horses in addition to growing hay. He enjoys working with his father, Bill, in his spare time, while celebrating their rich agricultural roots. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family as often as possible. His dog “Lucy,” a labrador/border collie, and horse “Dora,” an Appendix, give him great joy and happiness in his life. He also carries the warm memories of his mother, Cheryl, with him at all times. She is the one who gave him his loving heart and caring personality.
