Meet the Doctors of Tennessee Equine Hospital

Monty McInturff Monty McInturff, DVM

Dr. Monty McInturff was born in Franklin, TN and still resides there with his family. He has an Animal Science degree from Abilene Christian University and a DVM degree from Auburn University. As a managing partner he is versed in all areas of equine care with a unique interest in Sports medicine and maintenance of the equine athlete. He has been with the practice since 1991.
Matt Povlovich Matt Povlovich, DVM

Dr. Matt Povlovich was born in Missouri and now resides in Columbia, TN with his family. He has a DVM degree from the University of Missouri - 1996. As a partner at T.E.H. he is versed in all areas of equine care with a special interest in Sports medicine and lameness diagnostics. He started with the practice in 1996.
Bob McCullough Bob McCullough, DVM

Dr. Bob McCullough was born in Lew­isburg, TN, he and his family reside in Theta, TN He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Colleges of Engineering and Veterinary Medicine 1984. As a senior associate at T.E.H. he is versed in all areas of equine care with at unique interest in podiatry and reproduction. He has been with the practice since 1986.
Matthew Nimmo Matthew Nimmo, DVM

Dr. Nimmo received his veterinary degree from Oklahoma State's College of Veterinary Medicine.  After graduation he did an internship at Peterson and Smith in Ocala, Florida.  He was invited to participate in the surgical residency position at Peterson and Smith, one of the only private practice residencies in the country.  Upon completion of his residency he joined the Tennessee Equine Hospital team.  He is excited about the opportunity to provide advanced surgical procedures to middle Tennessee and beyond.
Nathaniel Wright Nathaniel Wright, DVM

Dr Nathaniel Wright graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 with a DVM degree. After completing an internship at T.E.H., he became an associate whose primary focus is field ser­vices Including reproduction and all areas of emergency and  preventative care. He and his family reside in Spring Hill, TN.
Matthew DeLisle Matthew DeLisle, DVM

Dr. Matthew DeLisle is the newest member of the Tennessee Equine Hospital team. He was raised in Huntsville, Alabama where he enjoyed training young Tennessee Walking Horses. He completed his veterinary degree at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He attended college at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He is eager to learn and develop his skills in all aspects of the equine industry.
Jessica Smith Jessica Smith, DVM

Dr. Smith attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Upon graduation she completed an internship at Littleton Large Animal Clinic.  We are excited to have her expertise as she is able to offer the newest advances in chiropractic medicine. 
Kelly Wentz Kelly Wentz, DVM

Kelly is a recent graduate of The College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State.  She brings an abundance of knowledge and enthusiasm from North Carolina and we are excited to have her in Tennessee.  Her primary position is to care for the hospitalized patients and assist with ambulatory field care.  She is excited to be here and even more excited at the opportunity to care for the horses of middle Tennessee and beyond.

She has been with the practice since 2002. She is responsible for daily client communication and business office work flow.
Becca Norton Becca Norton
Receptionist

Becca recently joined the Tennessee Equine Hospital team. She lives in Columbia with her husband Rob and her four daughters Grace (9), Emilee (7), Maddie (3), and Mary Beth (3). Becca will assist you with your needs when your calls come into the office.

Kathryn Ayers Kathryn Ayers
Business Office Personel

She is a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University’s Equine Science program. She is responsible for daily inventory control, veterinary support, and communication for all field services.
Jenni Adams Jenni Adams
Marketing and Office Assistant

Jenni recently joined the Tennessee Equine Hospital team in March of this year.   She was raised Brentwood, Tennessee and attended college in Arkansas at Harding University.  She recently returned to middle Tennessee with her husband Heath, and they currently reside in Nashville.  Her enthusiasm and willingness to work has greatly encouraged the Tennessee Equine Hospital staff and resonates throughout the clientele.

Alyssa Medved Alyssa Medved
Hospital Secretary

Alyssa is the first and last person you will see as you enter our facility.  She has the job of checking you and your horses into the hospital and directing you to the correct location.  Her position is located within the lobby where she is capable of assisting you when you enter the hospital.  She graduated from MTSU in 2007 and is excited to be working in the new hospital.

Pharmacy Personel

She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Findlay’s Equine Science program. She is responsible for daily scheduling and care of both haul in and hospitalized patients.
Jackie Demastus Jackie Demastus, LVT

Jackie Demastus, LVT is a 2007 graduate of Columbia State Veterinary Technician program.  She is responsible for all laboratory testing and daily evaluation and care of hospitalized patients.

Anne McDuffee Anne McDuffee
Ambulatory Assistant

Anne recently joined the Tennessee Equine Hospital team and offers lots of equine experience.  She was raised riding jumpers and eventers in Franklin, Tennessee.  She assists the doctors in the field and helps manage the ambulatory equipment and vehicles.   
Ashley Neiman Ashley Neiman
Outpatient Personel

Ashley assists with the breeding operations at Tennessee Equine Hospital.  She trained in central Kentucky at a large quarter horse breeding operation.  She currently lives adjacent to the breeding barn enabling her to care for all of the mares and new foals.  We are very fortunate to have her working with us.

Amanda Lawson Amanda Lawson
Ambulatory/Outpatient Assistant

Amanda recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Animal Science.  She is currently gaining experience while working at Tennessee Equine Hospital in preparation for veterinary school.  She is talented and great in the hospital bringing lots of knowledge from east Tennessee.

Kevin Chaffee Kevin Chaffee
Veterinary/Operations Assistant

Kevin recently moved with his wife Karon to the Middle Tennessee area.  He relocated from Michigan where he worked in a mixed animal veterinary practice. He brings a lot of experience to Tennessee Equine Hospital and we are excited to welcome him as part of our team. Kevin stays busy at home with his newborn son Fischer and his 3 year old daughter Trinity.
